The Office of Research and Development is responsible for strengthening cooperative relationships between the Institute and government organizations and private enterprises, establishing academic cooperation with domestic and foreign educational institutions, pursuing joint research and training projects, seeking employment opportunities for the Institute's graduates, providing services for the alumni, arranging international academic seminars, inviting specialists and scholars to give speeches, encouraging and assisting faculty members to undertake research projects, holding skill tests, organizing the “Dual System” of vocational training, and dealing with other R&D affairs.

The dean of the Office of Research and Development is responsible for annual schedule and budget planning; setting up relative rules; holding office meetings; in charge of all office activities; chairing coordination meetings on various campus skill tests; attending in and off campus relative meetings; setting items and contents of students career consultation; inviting scholars, experts and distinguished alumni to give speeches in the school, and administering the property of the office.
