The Office of Academic Affairs is committed to the pursuit of excellence in academic activities, especially progress in academic programming, faculty development, and student academic affairs. It oversees the development and utilization of learning resources, supervises the budgetary plans which support academic unit operations, and promotes the intellectual growth of the academic community. It also creates a positive environment that encourages and supports faculty research and creative work, provides support for faculty development, and assists faculty in offering an outstanding education for students. In addition, it develops programs to improve the quality of teaching and learning, promotes a dynamic nurturing environment to support student learning, and thus helps recruit better students. Above all, it ensures the Institute's academic mission is met so as to enhance its academic reputation.

To fulfill these goals, the Office is divided into three sections: the Teaching and Learning Section, the Teaching Resources Center, and the Inter-school Cooperation Center.
