The Extension Education Center provides various courses or programs for industry professionals and general adults so as to promote lifelong learning and serve the general public. The courses offered by this center are not part of a degree program and therefore cannot lead to a bachelor's or master's degree while those offered by the Office of Continuing Education or Affiliated Colledge of Continuing Education are part of a degree program and thus can lead to a degree.

Generally speaking, courses provided by the Center are designed in consideration of social needs and the academic specialties of our faculty members or at the request of the government or businesses. Two different types of courses are offered: credit courses and non-credit courses. In terms of credit courses, they are offered in different fields at the graduate or undergraduate level. Students are selected according to a specific guideline issued by the Ministry of Education. For the students of credit courses (programs), they are eligible to apply for credit certificates if they pass the courses they take. With the certificates, they can have those credits waived when they enter the regular programs at the Institute. In terms of non-credit courses, they are designed to be as practical as possible so that students may acquire/improve their job skills or satisfy their special needs from what they learn in class.

Providing quality services is essential to our pursuit of excellence.
