Message from the President Welcome to our Website. Hwa Hsia University of Technology, a higher education institution in Taipei, provides students with the opportunity to obtain an excellent education in a vibrant and supportive community. This Institute is blessed with enthusiastic faculty members deeply devoted to both teaching and research; administrators and staff who go the extra mile to make Hwa Hsia an effective, efficient and caring institution; and distinguished trustees whose vision and guidance are invaluable. All of these advantages make your education here worthwhile. The guiding principle of the Institute is GOAL-121. G stands for globalization, which aims to help students establish a correct worldview and strengthen the internationalization of the Institute since people in the world are increasingly linked together across the globe. O stands for originality, which aims to develop student creativity. We are living in an age of innovation. One of the keys to success lies in the ability to create new knowledge and discover new ideas. A stands for attitude, which aims to help students cultivate a positive attitude. A study conducted at the Harvard University found that when a person gets a job or a promotion, 85 per cent of the time it is because of his attitude and only 15 per cent of the time it is because of how smart they are and how many facts and figures they know. L stands for lifelong learning, which aims to equip students with the ability to keep learning after graduation. In order to acquire the ability, students are supposed to achieve the “121” objective before graduation: 1 diploma in a professional field, 2 certificates in vocational qualification and language ability, and 1 multidisciplinary program certificate. All of the above-mentioned abilities will serve as a catalyst for a successful future. Therefore, receiving your higher education here is one of the wisest investments you can make.
