Requirements |
- Three types of programs are offered: four-year day and evening bachelor’s degree programs for vocational senior high school graduates, and a two-year evening associate degree program for vocational senior high school graduates.
- Total credits for graduation from a four-year program:128 credits, including 24 credits on liberal required courses, 68 credits on professional required courses, and at least 36 credits on elective courses.
- Total credits for graduation from a two-year program: 80 credits, including 20 credits on liberal required courses, 46 credits on professional required courses and at least 14 credits on elective courses.

Educational Objectives |
The Department aims to equip students with creativity, professional knowledge and skills needed in interior design and engineering in order to help shape culturally creative environments, upgrade the quality of life and enhance knowledge and vocational skills in the space design profession. Students’ acquisition of professional certificates is encouraged. |
Departmental Features |
There are five characteristics in our curriculum:
1. Practical experiences and close interaction with the industry are emphasized.
2. The use of teaching aids such as electric white board and web-based resources makes teaching materials easier to learn.
3. The faculty members have a good command of English, French and Japanese. The new trends in these countries are integrated into our curriculum.
4. Teaching materials are posted on the Internet so that students can learn anytime and anywhere.
5. In addition to traditional interior design, healthy environment design is emphasized so as to broaden students’ employment potential. |

Student Career Development |
The graduates of the Department can further their studies at graduate schools in the fields of interior design, architectural design, creativity design, optical and lighting design. They may also choose to pursue a career as an interior designer, CG designer, lighting designer, architecture designer, space retrofit designer, etc. A wide range of employment opportunities is available for our graduates. |
